Daylite is a CRM for anyone working day-to-day on Mac and iPhone. Proper local-first experience built on proper native Apple tools backed by cloud sync and API integrations to make it portable and deeply useful. As a Canadian company they can be GDPR compliant which makes the system acceptable for use in the EU.
Daylite’s cloud was built on Ruby back in the day and is currently reaping the benefits of a move to Ash framework. AJ, the CEO is a lovely recurring presence at various Elixir events when he isn’t busy having his app featured on WWDC.
I really love to see a business built on shipping proper apps that use standard tools and have features that go deep. I’ve used the product and had the delight a good Mac app should offer. “Oh, I can bulk edit these companies”, “Oh, I can edit the context menu to remove stuff I don’t need”. Refreshing and I love to see a business building their product in line with the user and their chosen platform do well.
